The First Annual Agricultural Symposium Aims to Enhance Agricultural Industry Capacity for Guam

Mangilao, Guam – The Northern Guam Soil and Water Conservation District in collaboration with the Guam Department of Agriculture and Guahan Sustainable Culture is proud to announce the First Annual Agricultural Symposium, set to take place on October 8th and 9th at the Guam Museum. Our goal is to enable self-subsistence and aspiring farmers interested in becoming certified, commercial farmers to improve food security efforts on the island. This symposium will feature a dynamic lineup of speakers from local and federal agencies and community-based organizations.

As the island faces increasing challenges related to climate change, supply chain disruptions, and rising food costs, the symposium aims to foster collaboration and innovation in strengthening our economy. Participants can expect segments focused on governmental programs, growing their agricultural business, sustainable farming practices, and more aimed at inspiring this generation of agricultural leaders.

The event is open to the public, but registration is required to save your spot and space is limited.
