Guam Soil & Water Conservation District Welcomes New Board Members
The Guam Soil and Water Conservation District is excited to announce the newly sworn-in members of the Northern and Southern Soil & Water Conservation District Boards. These dedicated volunteers, including community leaders, farmers, educators, and environmental advocates, are stepping up to help protect Guam’s soil, water, and agricultural resources.
The elections for these board members were held on September 3rd, 2025 at the Large Conference Room at Ricardo J. Bordallo Complex . Conservation Districts play a crucial role in addressing some of our island’s most pressing environmental challenges. Rather than enforcing regulations, they focus on fostering partnerships to improve soil health, protect watersheds, and promote responsible land use practices.
The new board members will focus on projects that directly impact Guam’s future, such as supporting local farmers with sustainable practices, educating students about agriculture, protecting watersheds, and encouraging community involvement in conservation efforts. These initiatives include farmer training workshops, school garden programs, community clean-ups, and partnerships that help residents care for their land.
We are honored to welcome the following new board members:
Northern District: Christopher Ada Rosario, Norma Salas Castillion, Joseph Cruz Santos, William Charles McDonald, Frank Santos Jr.,
Southern District: Michael E. D. Aguon, Martha June Tudela Tenorio, Glenn Camacho Takai, Yvonne Demapan Manglona-Juaneza, Glenn Fritz J. Dulla
These individuals bring a wealth of experience and passion to the table, and their leadership will be essential in strengthening Guam’s conservation efforts.
Together, they will ensure the sustainable management of Guam’s soil and water resources, ensuring a healthier environment and a more food-secure future for our island.
