MadCollab Event Highlights Community Partnership Between Northern Guam Soil and Water Conservation District and Calvo’s Insurance

Tumon, Guam — The Northern Guam Soil and Water Conservation District (NGSWCD) proudly participated in the recent MadCollab community event in collaboration with Calvo’s Insurance, bringing together local organizations, businesses, and residents for a day of community engagement, local agriculture promotion, and public outreach.

During the event, NGSWCD sold locally produced honey and featured a local agricultural producer by helping showcase and sell their plants to attendees. The booth also served as an educational space where visitors could learn more about conservation efforts, sustainable agriculture, native plants, and resources available through NGSWCD and its community partners.

Calvo’s Insurance contributed to the welcoming atmosphere by hosting raffle sign-ups for attendees and providing complimentary popcorn throughout the event, helping encourage community participation and interaction.

The collaboration highlighted the value of supporting local producers while creating opportunities for residents to connect with organizations working to strengthen Guam’s environment and community resilience.
